“Back From Tiffany’s”

Prelude to “Affaire At Tiffany’s”

It’s Been almost 2 weeks now since the event. Im now getting into the swing of things. I went to San Diego a few days before the event to update and replenish my space at The Urban Barn. Could not wait to make It “Tiffany Pretty”. Not knowing that I would be switching my 8×8 space to a room with four walls and three entrances! That move took all of  Monday. Tuesday I spent all day staging my finds so they would be perfect and in place. While setting the mood and feeling very Tiffany, I was having a bittersweet moment. I was hoping not to sell anything before the Flea Market Tour on Sunday. I wanted my room to stay perfect and untouched until then. Wednesday morning, first thing, was to go to the flower mart to find some posies to add a fresh visual display of springtime.

I hope you enjoy my little atelier!

Se prépare pour “The Affaire At Tiffany’s”

Preparing for The Affaire At Tiffany’s flea market tour!

I’m so excited to be leaving in less than 2 weeks for this event in Manhattan Beach, Ca. Before the event weekend starts I will be going to my little place in San Diego at the Urban Barn to replenish my vintage goodies making it Tiffany special for the Affaire group. Urban Barn is one of the fabulous stops on the flea market tour. I will be adding as much Tiffany blue I can fit in my space!

“Hommage à la dinde”

“Homage to the turkey”

Urban Barn is getting ready to have there next “Street Faire”  November 17th & 18th. I was starting to dig thru my find’s for fall color’s of topaz glass and turkey figureine’s when an Urban Barn-ette said “November’s street faire is the big Christmas holiday event”. I stood there in a stuper… “No shit!” I said,  that makes sense. So now the fun begin’s! I can’t wait to display two holiday’s in one.

I will also have the new paper line from Cake Vintage Table & Home.

“Coexistence…  what the farmer does with the turkey – until Thanksgiving.”

“Veille de la toussaint”

“When witches go riding, and black cats are seen, the moon laughs and whispers,‘tis near Halloween” -Unknown

My days have been swirling past my head like Dorthey in a tornado. I just opened up “Tragic Queen Vintage” at  Urban Barn in San Diego on October 14th. The last month I’ve been hauling loads of all my vintage and antique finds from Vegas to SD to open in time for Urban Barn’s “Wicked Ball” street faire. With the help of my husband, longtime friend Tara and Linda from Urban Barn… I made it! Lot’s of work and no sleep… but well worth it. Thank you for making “Tragic Queen Vintage’s” debut spellbinding.

I am going to end the month with a Ghastly giveaway from D.L. &Co..  This is one of my favorite candle’s. Skull with Mandible candle from the “Memento Mori” collection.

Leave a comment on this post by Midnight October 31st and a winner will be chosen the next day.
